Hello Ann Smith Elementary families,
My name is Ms. Monica Crisp, and I’m honored to be a new Assistant Principal at Ann Smith Elementary!
Joining this incredible school community is truly exciting for me. I’ve spent the past 15 years in education—first as a Middle School English Teacher and Debate Coach, then as an Instructional Coach, and most recently as a Literacy Specialist. Throughout every role, my passion has remained the same: helping students succeed and supporting the educators who guide them every day.
I absolutely love the vibrancy of the Titan Zone—the energy, the school spirit, and the deep sense of community that makes this place so special. I’m also proud to share that I am a Titan mother, which makes this role even more meaningful to me. As both an administrator and a parent, I’m deeply invested in the success and well-being of every student who walks our halls.
I believe in creating schools where every student feels seen, supported, and challenged to grow. I’m committed to fostering a learning environment that’s safe, inclusive, and inspiring for all.

Word of the Day Collection
Note to Families:
A school-wide word of the day will be announced and practiced with learning experiences in class. Practice makes progress! Please help us at home by asking your children to tell you what they learned about that day's word, what it means, and explore examples of that word in everyday life. Applying each word to real-life examples helps kids to remember the meanings!
